A lovely vintage Rajasthani silver armlet or upper arm bracelet known as 'bazuband'. It is formed out of seven squarish panels and two triangle like finials. These elements are threaded onto thick cotton cord. I think originally it closed with a slip knot chord and the closure was replaced at a later date by a sterling silver s clasp. The bracelet has lots of little bell dangles that make a pleasing chime with movement, so this bracelet could easily be worn for dance. In lovely vintage condition.

Inner circumference is 19 cm (7 1/2"). Inner diameter upto 7 cm (2 5/8"). Width with dangles is 4 cm (1 1/2"). Weight is 81.5 grams.
